Its never hard...

to come up with something to write about....seriously...I don't sit down and plan what I am going to blog about, usually its just what ever strikes me. Well, last night, I knew EXACTLY what I was going to share with you all today.

For Braila's entire life, she has not enjoyed the ritual of washing her hair. She very much reminds me of my sister Tami when she was a little girl. You see, Tami had long thick beautiful hair...I was very envious. But when it came time to wash it, I remember the crying, begging and all out meltdowns....it seems as though Braila has somehow inherited this trait from her Auntie Tami.
Two nights ago was huge for Braila...no whining, crying or deal making......Rob was holding Brrielle and I was washing Braila's hair...she was so proud not only to show her baby sister how its done, but us as well...and yes, we made a HUGE deal about it!.

Last night, I was having a bath, and Braila toddles in and strips down and hops in...she thinks its really funny to get in with mumma....Ill share with you another time the games she plays with my soft belly. Like every other night, Im ready to get out and she wants to stay and play in the tub...no worries.....right??
I am in the kitchen doing the dishes, Rob playing with Brielle in the family room...every couple of minutes I yell to Lala" you ok hon?" She yells back "yeah!" This goes on for probably 20 minutes. Then she calls very excitedly "mum! Daddy come here fast!!" Rob gets there first and I hear the praise...I walk around the corner and see the sweet face of my daughter, sitting in a tub of water, flushed cheeks...."look mumma I washed my hair all by my self!!"
O_M_G! ok, thats what I said in my head as I notice the once full, brand new bottle of Aveeno shampoo laying on its side with the cap off and draining whats left of it on the bathroom floor.....
"wow sweetie, thats great!" Im pretty sure I had a horrified smile on my face..."super duper, how brave!" By this time, I am also very sure I can see Rob out the corner of my eye killing himself laughing...bugar!
"Are you ready to get out yet?" keep in mind she still has about 2 inches of soap all over her head and I am flashing forward to the inevitable war that will soon be in my bathroom..."nope" she simply answers, "you can go now..."
Me"ummm ok, call me when you are ready!" about 10 second later I hear her get out of the tub and Rob say "ohh, ummm...hey sweetie, can you let mumma or me rinse that bit of soap out of your hair?" To my shock...yes, it was shock....I hear " sure Daddy, I want mumma"
Holy crap, I felt like I jumped into action....standing like a big grown up girl in the tub, I used the shower head and got every bit of soap off her precious head...no tear, no whining...just pride, beaming from her cause she did it all by herself.....

and now in her pj's.....we are sooo blessed...

and just because I find this pic funny...Brielle, I swear she is telling me "enough wit the freaking camera already!" LOL
